What is Vinyasa Flow Yoga?

Vinyasa means to link one posture to another and the ‘Flow’ part describes how postures are repeated in a dynamic sequence. Vinyasa flow gets your muscles warm and working, it builds strength and flexibility. Breathing is central to the flow, accompanying each movement and bringing you into the present moment. The rhythmic repetition in the practice allows you to enter a state of almost pure focus, calming the mind, while moving fluidly.

What to expect from my class…

In my vinyasa flow classes, I will always start by checking in with the alignment of the posture to ensure you feel safe, strong, and confident in the pose. Then I encourage you to find a point between steadiness and ease so that the mind can rest on the target area of each posture so to strengthen the mind-body connection and cultivate presence. Hopefully after the practice you feel fully rejuvenated!
